Tailings & Rheology

Central Chemical Consulting has conducted numerous projects involving rheology measurements on tailings. One such project involved the underflow tailings from a lithium processing plant. The rheological properties measured included the yield point and slurry viscosity. The particle size fraction having the largest influence on the yield point was identified. High yield point material is much harder to pump therefore a lower yield point is desirable. The results from the work we conducted were used to plan plant trials.
