LSTCalc: a free dilution calculator

It is sometimes necessary to dilute LST Heavy Liquid with deionised water when preparing a heavy liquid of known density. This can be a tedious process by trial and error, so we provide a free windows-compatible programme, LSTCalc. It will calculate the required amount of water to add (or remove) for any given starting and final density. You can download LSTCalc here.

After you download the LSTCalc file and copy it into a convenient folder, it is ready to use to calculate dilutions. Within the programme, enter the current density, the current volume of LST Heavy Liquid, and the required density. LSTCalc will immediately indicate the required volume of water to be added or evaporated off.
