Hydrometers

We supply one type of hydrometer covering the range of 2.5 g/mL to 3.0 g/mL as a service to assist our customers use their heavy liquid. We use these in our own laboratory.

The hydrometers are glass, measure approximately 29 cm in length and have a smallest division of 0.01 g/mL.

The picture at the right shows one of the hydrometers being used to measure the density of LST Heavy Liquid, in this case a density of 2.9 g/mL. The larger divisions visible in the picture are every 0.05 g/mL. The LST Heavy Liquid is in a 100 mL measuring cylinder, which gives an idea of scale.
