Central Chemical ConsultingCentral Chemical Consulting provides research and development services and specialty technology for the mineral industries. The research at Central Chemical Consulting is conducted by a group of PhD qualified industrial chemists and scientists. The commitment Central Chemical Consulting has to its clients shows in the quality of its products and services. Most of our efforts are focused on helping organisations in Australia, but we also supply products and chemical technology internationally. We have supplied our dense liquids to research and commercial laboratories in over forty countries. Events and research newsIn April 2011 we commissioned a Bruker Alpha FTIR spectrometer which will be used in BLAIR alumina liquor analysis. In April 2011 we commenced a MERIWA project to research fine particle agglomeration in process slurries. In January 2010 we commenced a MERIWA project to improve electrostatic separations in the mineral sands industry. In 2009 we obtained uv/visible diffuse scattering instrumentation, which we also use to measure CIELab and related colour parameters. During 2007 to 2009 we conducted research into fine iron oxide production for Fine Earth Oxides Australia and Fine Earth Oxides Europe. In 2008 we commissioned a new TA Instruments TGA-DSC instrument. In late 2006 we obtained a TA Instruments AR-G2 research rheometer. From 2006 to 2009 we were engaged in MERIWA research project M390, based on novel surface chemistry. A significant current research focus at CCC is the surface chemistry of concentrated electrolyte solutions, in order to examine the behaviour of particles in industrial liquors.
