About us | Central Chemical ConsultingCentral Chemical Consulting provides research and development services and specialty technology for the mineral industries. The research at Central Chemical Consulting is conducted by a group of PhD qualified industrial chemists and scientists. Most of our efforts are focussed on helping organisations in Australia, but we also supply products and chemical technology internationally. We have supplied our dense liquids to research and commercial laboratories in over twenty countries. Events and research newsIn January 2003 we moved a short distance to new premises in Malaga, a northern suburb of Perth. This has given us improved facilities and more room. A significant current research focus at CCC is the surface chemistry of concentrated electrolyte solutions, in order to examine the behaviour of particles in industrial liquors. In March 2004 we commenced an industry funded MERIWA project to further the application of zeta potential measurements in industry. In April 2004 we took delivery of the first instrument in Australia dedicated to measuring colloid vibration current. This instrument is the Dispersion Technology DT1200, which combines a 100MHz acoustic spectrometer with electroacoustic analysis. During August 2005 we purchased a Shimadzu IR model Prestige-21 FTIR and Pike diamond attenuated total reflectance (ATR) accessory, which has enhanced our research and proven to be a versatile package for a range of materials analysis. In April 2006 we added a CH Instruments model CH700C bipotentiostat and electrochemical workstation for use in fundamental characterisation and corrosion analysis.
